Bregenz is not only known for Lake Constance and the festival. The city between lake and mountain offers spectacular nature as well as a wealth of art and cultural institutions. Modern museums or medieval buildings - Bregenz is a small town, but big on culture.

Kunsthaus Bregenz, KUB in short, is just a few steps away, as are vorarlberg museum and Vorarlberger Landestheater. If you want to stretch your legs a bit, then it’s best to stroll along the lakeside promenade to the artistic floating stage of the Bregenzer Festspiele.

You can find out here which galleries, museums, and art centres can be discovered by taking a walk through Bregenz. In addition, current recommendations are listed in our digital guest folders, in the weekly information letter in your hotel room, or simply ask us in person in the lounge.

Lake Constance is only two minutes away, and is ideal for wonderful walks, cycling, and swimming. The entire promenade on the Austrian side is open to the public – a great privilege. The slopes of the nearby Pfänder mountain, Bregenz’s landmark peak, are on the opposite side.

Those with enough energy can reach the peak in about an hour via numerous trails, or arrive there in comfort by cable car within six minutes. You can find more information on activities in nature here.

Architecture in Vorarlberg

Construction has a long tradition in Vorarlberg. The search for aesthetics, the passion for craftsmanship, and the use of local resources all reflect the provincial architecture and socio-political processes.
